Dear Oakley Parents and Guardians
Your daughters have been back for two weeks already and coming back to the cold and snow was a shock to some! Mrs Pugh has been treating the girls to hot chocolate on the coldest of days and she made 76 traditional crumpets for the House this morning!

Our older students have had 10 days of mock examinations and I have been impressed with the focused and diligent way they have been revising in the evenings and supporting each other.
I was proud of our girls who have been recognised in Routh Assembly for their achievements. Amy Wang received a Gold UKMT Senior Kangaroo certificates, placing her in the top 1% nationally of students who entered the Senior Maths Challenge. And Nandy Panwar and Sophie Tang were members of the winning team in this year’s prestigious GCHQ National Languages Competition. The event challenges participants to solve complex puzzles and codes using a variety of languages, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and linguistic skills. Competing against schools nationwide, these students displayed exceptional determination and creativity. We are immensely proud of their dedication and achievements in this intellectually stimulating competition, which highlights the importance of language learning in an ever increasingly interconnected world.
The Activity programme is also keeping students busy with new faces at horse riding and at climbing last weekend:

I leave you with some photos of campus; despite the cold, it’s always lovely when the sun shines through:

Best wishes
Victoria Adams
